September stopped by to say hello, but just informed me it was already packed up and ready to leave.

Felt like we were just getting acquainted to be quite honest. Oh well, maybe see you again around the same time next year. Just let me know when you plan to visit again. And do try and bring some good weather with you next time.

Current mood: rather wet.

Of course, it’s nice to find a silver lining in every cloud but I would selfishly like to request at least one day of sunshine at some point in the foreseeable future.

If only but to hang the laundry.

Cat’s current mood: rather mental.

I try to be rather generous with my attention to her except when paperwork needs to be done.

And it is precisely at those times that she feels compelled to come dashing through the house to jump, bite, and then sit on everything.

Of course, I can’t blame her. She is a cat after all.

But never the less, I have to live in the world of humans. And in that world, paperwork needs to get done. And if it doesn’t, I can’t make a living, which means she can’t enjoy this extravagant lifestyle of gourmet cat food and a house that also serves as her running track.

Anything interesting happen on Sept 28th in history?

Apparently penicillin was discovered (1928). This was important for many things, childbirth and surgery being two pretty significant ones.

William the Conqueror landed in England (1066). This rebranded the country essentially, changing the language of the ruling class to Norman French, redistributing the land and filling the countryside with lots of castles. Thanks for that. I quite like castles.
